An exhibition that explores the darkness that ties our psyche together. The darkness that we are born out of and the darkness that we return too. The darkness that we carry in our heart and that calls to us at night.
As humans our brains and our psyche reflect the make up of the universe out of which we were born. Dark matter is a form of matter thought to account for approximately 85% of the matter in the universe. Its presence is implied in a variety of astrophysical observations, like the presence of the subconscious is implied by the observation of human behaviour. Gravitational effects that cannot be explained by accepted theories of gravity unless more matter is present than can be seen. For this reason we can see that dark matter has a huge and overarching effect on the behaviour of the universe. As a reflection of the universe our psyche is dominated by the subconscious that we barely know, see or understand. As humans our minds can collapse like a Black hole sucking all around it into a darkness or explode like a supernova. We are governed by things we do not understand, a darker matter that has influence beyond our comprehension.
